    Aimin Song, Professor in the Microelectronics and Nanostructures group within the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, was awarded one of the most prestigious awards in the University of Manchester. (06/2007)
  2. Nano ePrint secures first-round funding of $1M (May 2007).
    University of Manchester spin-out, Nano ePrint, secured first round seed investment in May 2007. The $1M investment, including support from Manchester Technology Fund and an undisclosed private investor, will enable the company to substantially expand current technical and commercial teams. In 2008, Nano ePrint expects to unveil its technology prototypes for high-frequency RFID and flexible displays based on the company's proprietary printing and patterning intellectual property.     Nano ePrint Ltd had its first patent 'Nanoelectronic Devices and Circuits' granted by the European and US Patent Offices in May 2007. (05/2007)
  4. IDTechEx (Cambridge, April 2007) - Printed Electronics Award (Device Innovation) Runner-up: Plastic ePrint Ltd (now Nano ePrint Ltd)
    Plastic ePrint (newly renamed as Nano ePrint) narrowly missed out to Pelikon in the Printed Electronics Awards for Device Innovation, held at the IDTechEx Printed Electronics Europe conference, Cambridge (UK) 2007. At the same conference, Prof. Aimin Song presented recent work on nanoelectronics from both the University of Manchester and Plastic ePrint Ltd. (04/2007)
